Review: Skinfood Pore Fit Cushion Bottle

Review: Skinfood Pore Fit Cushion Bottle

Skinfood, absolutely great brand. And this product, cushion bottle, is a great idea. And everyone likes it, except me.

*This cushion is mentioned in my huge cushion comparison, pt 1.

Skinfood says that this product has SPF50+ PA+++, which is absolutely great. Then that it has full cover coverage so it should hide most of the blemishes, pores, etc… Well I’d like to believe that but unfortunately it doesn’t. It definitely has better coverage than some BB cream, but it certainly won’t cover everything. Then lightweight which is true, you almost don’t feel it at all. Moisturizing? I highly doubt that. I have combination acne prone skin where oily is only my T-zone, the rest of my face is quite normal. And this product is so dry on me. It makes dry patches around my blemishes, so they are way more obvious, and my skin just feels really, really dry. I wouldn’t recommend this to people with dry skin, it’s more for oily skin types. Smooth finish? I don’t think so either just because how dry this is. In the demo video, I show that the make-up makes strange dots of product all over my face which I had to wipe off with a brush. But during the day, they reappeared.

The application is in my opinion bad. Because of the small sponge, it takes forever, and after a while of patting your hand and whole arm will hurt. But the bottle itself is very well invented. You have to first turn the top part from position OFF to position ON, then shake it for 10 seconds, then push it 4 to 5 times and you’re done. You open the lid, inside is a small mirror and a sponge with the product on.

So I didn’t have anything under the make-up except my skincare (moisturizer) which didn’t help and my face was still really dry the whole day. I didn’t have anything on the make-up either, no powder or whatsoever. Make-up has matt finish which is great for oily skins. However after about 7 and half hours I had oily my T-zone, even my chin, which f.e. Skin79 doesn’t do (review here [tba]). Also the makeup became cakey during the day; as I mentioned before, the strange dots reappeared and remained even after light brushing away plus the product settles into fine lines, mainly under my eyes. Anyways, the coverage remained quite same.

So I don’t have anything else on mind. I’d recommend this product for people with oily skin.
